For a 29 year old man, starting a family and a new part of my life filled with responsibilities and challenges, it's darn hard to feel optimistic for the future when decisions like this are putting it in serious jeopardy. I think it's sad that I sometimes wish that I was 25-30 years older than I am so that I might have had a better life than I am looking at given the path that this country is on.

Hell, I think I'll move in with an unwed illegal immagrant with 6 or 8 kids on welfare. I may never have to spend another dime. OR... maybe it's time to move to that fishing retreat in Mexico. LOL OR, I could take that invitation I have to go to Argentina? OK, lets find a place to move to. Any suggestions?

Certainly makes me question bringing kids into this world. My only hope (and it's a long shot and a long road) is the voters remember this come November. Our citizens have an easy way of forgetting, however.

    1. I have little faith in the voters remembering.
    2. I have even less fatih that anyone that they put in would make things good. May be a HAIR improvement, but all politics are corrupt anymore.

It's not about ALL voters remembering. It's about the party seeking to overthrow the one in power energizing their base.

The dems are HIGHLY sporadic at showing up to vote. The republicans will take advantage of this historical fact.

the real problem is all these people have all this power given to them, and they will do anything to keep to, lie cheat, steal

it's both sides. the system is so corrupted it feeds on itself.

term limits.. if they didnt need to run again maybe they would work for us instead of the next campaign lie.

campaign finances.. these people are for sale to the highest bidder. just look at the people that turned there votes in this last week.

Again it's both sides... and just a big shell game to keep are attention while the steal something else while we are watching the shell game

At least one of your (LA) R - congressmen saw the error of his ways (or the writing on the wall) and changed his previous "yea" vote, this time. I'd sure hate for Obama to be able to say the vote was "Bi-partisan". The only thing bi-partisan....was the dissent.

Problem is, people still view the Republicans as Bush Inc. They will remember (and be reminded of) high gas prices and an unpopular war. If this(healthcare plan) doesn't get every republican to the polls, nothing will.
