Looks like it caught up to ol Jeb.....

I couldn't find the original post that someone made about Jeb Corliss and his crazy base jumping. As a refresher, this great video was posted in that thread....



BTW....love the song in that video.

 

Well, it appears the crazy base jumping caught up with Jeb a bit. He's alive, but been in the hospital for the last 5 weeks. You can see the crash at the end of this vid.....but I suspect the entire video won't be shown until HBO does the special.



Blame it on his ADD....baby.

Dan... watch his documentary when you get some free time... Interesting guy... his friend actually got killed doing this. I hope he recovers, I love watching him... This is something I would love to do in my life time... We'll keep the goal set at sky diving for now though.

Darwin Award winner? Far from it. The dude knows full well what he's doing everytime he jumps. He just cut it a little too close this time.

Now, had he made a wingsuit out of garbage bags while drunk, then you can hand him the trophy.

 

I believe I've seen some of it. His buddy smacked a bridge and Jeb was with him.

Unacceptably risky behavior. This needs to be banned. (because, you know... there's medical costs, insurance and his loved ones to consider)

This should go right after cell phone use while driving and before banning motorcycles.

Saw that one another forum, I imagine it's going to be a little while before he's back at it. Sorry, but I think the guy is a bit NUTTY!!! There are certain "stupid things" I'll do, and others that I just plain WON'T do. A solo back country trip in CO and whitewater rafting are deemed acceptable, putting on some crazy suit that makes me look like an oversized bat who just ate far too many mosquitoes, and trying to fly....is NOT acceptable. :D It is cool to watch, but not my cup of tea.

 

To quote The Outlaw Josey Wales... "Dyin ain't much of a living boy!" If Jeb returns, its just a matter of time... and for what?

 

Awesome Vid....That guy is crazy man....Looks awesome but I would never have the brass to do it lol....Yep, the original vid of his friend hitting the bridge was tuff to watch.....I saw it a few years ago right after it happened. It doesn't surprise me either that He is going to do it again. If you are crazy enough to do it like He does....then He isn't going to let that hiccup stop him. Just inches from death but He doesn't care....
