What is the best trail cam out there in all of your eyes? I have a home made one and love it but it took a crap on me after many years of constant use. Any help on what you all like the best would be great. Here are some features that are a must. I like color photos on day and night, posted date and time, and able to lock on tree.

You are like me in that you like color night time photos, which means you need a white-flash camera. That sort of limits the choices since most companies are building only IR cameras. A few choices would be the Cuddeback Capture, Moultrie D-40, D50, D55, M40, Stealthcam I-590, and Spypoint FL-A. I have had experience with the D40, Cuddeback Capture, and the Stealthcam I-590. Of those three, I like the Stealthcam I-590 the best. Pics are crisp and clear and it's slow trigger time can be overcome by putting a bait or mineral in front of it. I have also read very good things about the Spypoint FL-A. Go to www.chasingame.com or www.trailcampro.com to read reviews about these and other cameras. Hope this helps.

    Blessings.....Pastorjim

I personally like the Cuddeback Capture Flash model. Great pics been 100% accurate and I don't believe I have missed a single pic. Plus I have not heard any troubles with them. I here of screens going out on moultries all the time. Many good ones to decide from this is just my opinion. I now have several Cuddebacks.

I have 2 of the Cuddeback Captures, flash model. Awesome cameras! I also have an older Moultrie D40, it has a slow trigger speed, and the pics are not as good as the Capture, but it has been a good camera for me .

dawg, I have heard great things about the bushnell trophy cams. They are small, have a wide viewing area and can run up 1 year on batteries. I believe they run around $177 on this website otherwise they will run about $200 most places.

I just ordered a Cuddeback capture the other day, hopefully it works out better than my Moultrie cameras did. I have had 3 D40s, and all 3 have quit within a year, and my friend had the same problem. I personally will never buy another Moultrie camera

In my personnal opinion the DLC convert is the best. Takes awesome pic, good speed and amazing battery life. I wont use anything else.

    Reconyx #1 choice

Reconyx:rock: makes the #1 rated camera on the market two years running. I own 2 of them, a RM-45 and a new HC-500 semi covert. Both take great pictures but they are IR at night. The battery life is the best of all cameras and you can use AAs in them so the wallet does not get wore out like using a Cuddeback. I also use a Moultrie I-40 which takes great pictures also. Though it is currently being repaired by Moultrie because the digital screen went haywire I still believe Moultrie makes a decent product. There are many people who speak highly of the Bushnell Trophy Cams also so I would not be afraid to try one of them but I believe they are also IR at night.

I personally would stay away from Cuddeback because there service is terrible when you need it. Most people purchase service more than anything now days when they buy anything do tot he fact that there is always the possibilty of something going wrong.
