I've got an older Bear Whitetail Quest that I'm giving to my nephew, but before I do I want to back the poundage down so he can get used to the bow and then work his way up to a higher poundage. The problem is that one of the limb bolts is so tight I can't seem to safely break it loose. I believe I could force it, but with the limbs "loaded" I'm afraid of stripping or breaking the bolt and having the bow blow-up on me. Do any of you guys know away to take care of this, or should I go to my local shop (which is not a problem, great guys, I just am pressed for time), have them remove the string and loosen the seized bolt?
    Thanks for any suggestions..

Can you see the bottom of the limb bolts on the back side of the riser? Maybe try spraying some PB blaster on them and see if that loosens them up.

If that doesn't work then I'd have the bow pressed, string removed, and proceed from there.

    safety first!

You definitely DON’T want to break a limb bolt with the riser/limbs stressed! You are probably ugly enough already without a piece of laminated wood sticking out of your face.

Your exercise in patience will be an excellent lesson to the young man so lucky to be getting such a fine tool. Take him with you to the shop.

Many deer have fallen to this type weapon.
