Currently have Carbon Express Blue Streak Selects, used to have Gold Tips.

I am currently leaning to Easton Full Metal Jackets, but I am having trouble figuring out the difference between my CE and the FMJ. Any tips are appreciated.

Fmj's are alot heavier then your carbon express. Also the carbon express is woven carbon the fmj is carbon with a aluminum coating hinse the name full metal jacket for max penetration. I like both arrows i used to use fmjs there just s little to heavy for my liking my carbons seem to fly better with my bow. But the fmj's are great i think everything i ever shot with one was a pass thru including a tree lol j/k .

I love my fmj. Ya I did accidently send one thro a tree. 3in maple so what a shoulder blade lol. Yhe loss of speed is worth it for me I still get 275fps with 450 garin arrow.

The grains per inch and fps will be your biggest difference.

In 340 spine, the blue streak is 8.3 grains per inch and the fmj is 10.4 (if i remember correctly).

Both arrows are more than effective. I'm a HUGE blue streak fan. The FMJs have a following as well. I've shot them and they were great, but too heavy for my liking. Though I find myself going heavier and heavier with every arrow purchase.

My reccommendation would be to buy 2 or 3 and shoot them for a while. It may not be to your liking either. However, you may think it's the ticket.

I shoot FMJs and they are freaking incredible! I am getting 316 fps+ shooting them on my Z7 mag. They hit like brick and are very durable. I still have 21 of the 24 I bought over 2 years ago.

another FMJ fan here. I have the 340's with my new Hoyt CST @ 80 lb, 317 fps near 500 grains total payload. For my Z7 extreme I have the 400's.

I used to shoot the blue streaks for years, then switched to FMJs just this yr actually. Theay are like stated above a bit heavier and slower than the blue streaks. BUT they out penetrate the blue streaks by about 3 inches shooting them side by side into a brand new block black target. Also since they are heavier there seems to be less noise and vibration after the shoot coming from my bow. I used to be a huge fan of the maxima arrows, until i shot that first FMJ. Both will still get the job done, especially on deer. But for me personaly i like the fmjs way more. More penetration, quiter when shot, less vibration, and they hit hard. To many positives not to switch over from a maxima blue streak to a FMJ. Just my opinion. Ill recommend the fmjs to anyone, anyday, for any game.

I thought hard about going with FMJ or Injexions for 2014 but am dialed in with the Easton Axis 340s and am sitting tight.

    105 yards...

Most people here have good things to say about FMJs here but on another site you here about them bending sometimes. Just remember they have aluminum in them and that aluminum can bend.

Nice shooting buddy. I was also thinking about picking up half a dozen of the new fmj injections to try out.

Thank you, The Injexions or the FMJ's would not be a mistake but as you may already know the injexions this year are a smaller diameter thus check your quiver on your bow and your pack.
    They are superior in wind.
