New member here but I've been on another forum for a few years and see a lot of the same faces here. I'm Doubled 150 there. Anyways...

I currently shoot an '08 Mathews Drenalin and I'm looking to get something new this year. I thought my mind was made up and I was going to upgrade to the Z7 Extreme. That is, until I shot the Quest Primal this past weekend. Wow! That thing is a shooter. I've seen a lot of positive reviews but I still asked for some info on the other forum and the only reply was:

Just be careful with the modules...they tend to strip out due to the vibrations.

Has anyone experienced this? Anything else of concern on the Primal?

    Thanks for the replies.

I shoot a Primal and take good care of it. What vibration? I haven't heard anything about modules being loose. I regularly check all the screws and bolts on any bow and I haven't had anything come loose.
I have been very pleased with this bow and would recommend it to anyone.

I didn't notice any vibration when I shot it either. I'm pretty anal myself when it comes to taking care of my equipment so I wasn't too awfully worried about it.

I've only been a single cam guy really since the single cams were introduced. I read that G5 runs quite a few shots through their bows before sending them out and they are timed and tuned before leaving.

Was yours shooting good out of the box? And how easy is the Primal to tune?

    Thanks again.

It shot just fine out of the box. I put my sight, limbdriver, stabilizer, and a loop, got it somewhat sighted in, shot 50 arrows, put in a peep and got it sighted in good. I haven't yet had to retune. I've owned the bow since maybe May? And I shoot a lot, almost daily. Oh, and before this bow my last 2 were single cam bows that I liked quite well. I like this one better.

Most owner's manuals state to lock-tite module screws in after you determine your desired draw length (with blue loctite), so screws vibrating loose shouldn't be a concern.
