I was told the Diamondbacks were the best bang for your buck in Vortex's line. I got 10x42s

    do yourself a favor.
save up another 100.00 and get something decent.
in my opinion, there is NO decent binocular for 100.00. least not long term.

The larger the objective, the more light it lets in. More light equals clearer, crisper glasses and better low light visibility. I have 8x42's and wouldn't trade them for the world.

I also forgot to mention this little bit. So if you pay a few hundred for a better set of bino's, most of the good companies have lifetime warranties on them. For example, my Leopolds, I broke one of the twist up eye cups on them a few years back. Sent them in and they repaired them, cleaned them and they're like a brand new pair. All it costs me was shipping to them. Well worth the extra up front cost for something that could possibly last you 15 or more years. Mine are going on 10 years now and are just like the day I bought them.
