If the Focus grip by Mathews works on your bow I'd go with that. If I could figure out how to make it work on mine (and the grip on mine wasn't so hard to find) I'd totally have a focus grip. It's awesome,

I know what you mean. I got a new Ballistic and I'm not thrilled with the grip either. I think I'll stick it out til after the first of the year and then try to find something different. I'll be watching this thread for sure for some input.

I was thinking about sending an e-mail to them to see if they could advise on grips that would fit. I shoot good with the grip that's on it, but it just doesn't feel quite right. I guess I could leave it alone if my options are super limited. What do you think about sending them an e-mail?

I'm at the Mathews retailer show right now and shot a Ballistic with a Focus grip on it earlier today, so I know first hand that it works.

Shrewd is also coming out with some Mathews grips that will fit as well.

Well in a post on A.T. Forums that i started, i was asking about the ballistic and someone on there said they spoke with mission and they say some of the mathews wood grips will fit, but notthe focus!

Wish someone with the ballistic had access to a focus grip to confirm that it will or wont.

Only thing keeping me from goin with it over another brand.

I shot the ballistic last night at my local shop, and it will be the bow i shoot and hunt with for 2013! Killer bow at a killer price! Smooth and very little vibes for a fast midrange bow. And the all black looks sweet!

Also, the factory grip is fine guys. Very comfortable i thought. It nowhere as bad as others! And way better than the huge wood grips mathews has used over the years!

alright so i finally bought a focus grip and now ist not fitting on my balistic! it needs major triming and then it still may not work!
Image157.jpg Image159.jpg see how the riser curves off and the focus grip is a strait angel. i think some trimming could make that work but when i put the grip over the riser the ends of the focus grip spread out like the riser is to thick for the grip. i dont know if they all do that and the tape they send with it will hold it down? any help would be a big thanks. i might take it to my bow shop i got it from befor i start triming...

just got back from my shop. trimed on the focus grip untill there was nothing left to trim. even cut some off and it does NOT fit on a ballistic riser! the mathews risers are cut to fit for there grips there is no posible way to make the focus grip fit unless you trim on the riser. not only is the top not a right angle on the grip like pictured above but when you slip it on the outside of the grip goes out because the riser is too thick. we put the factory grip back on and i will look into tourquelss grips to see what i can get.
