Im in the market for a treestand...Ive never owned one, but i think i want a portable lightweight stand, because I hunt on public land and dont want it siting over the week. Ive heard Lone Wolf is a good one but is it worth the price, I have the money to spend if i need, but was wondering if there are any other ones that are nice and light and easy to set up. oh and its gotta be a hang on, the trees up here in north dakota suck for climbers.

The LW Alpha and Sticks are well worth the money and then some! A breeze to set up and carry!

I have used a number of different stands.

IMO...yes Lone Wolf is worth the price...especially if it is the only stand you will be using.

They are rock solid, quiet, light, easy to put up, and should last a lifetime if not left outside year round (straps should be replaced at some point).

There are other good stands on the market...but Lone Wolf is hands down the best if you ask me.

I use strap on steps but becoming a bigger fan of the sticks. I also love the Baby Grand due to a bigger platform. As to climbers I have a Summit Cobra and a Loggy Bayou! I would not trade my Loggy off for anything! That is my best stand beside my ladder stand! I am sure that Summit and Loggy both make hang ons too!

I guess I should add that I hunt state land here in Wisconsin and its illegal to leave a stand up overnight. I put my LW up and take it down after EVERY sit, like I said its a breeze. I'm very mobile and its the only stand I use now.

I think they make portable ladder stands now too. You can always check them out.
