I know this is probly a late notice brain fart. But I got the notion to try and do a pheasant hunt. Texas isn't really known for them and here they do a lot of released birds. I prefer the natural wild hunts. Just curious if anyone would have any suggestions of places to check out. I don't have a lot of money to blow on some birds but just wondering whats out there. More than likely this would be 2 to 4 of us but likely just 2. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.
Go to a game farm and do a scratch hunt for stray birds put out for other hunters that were not shot. That or you could walk for miles and hours hoping that a few roosters fly rather than run.
