I was lucky enough to draw Unit 8 two years in a row. I have a reasonable knowledge of the Unit and ideas on where the elk will be. Last year it was like opening day everyday. I had 7 shot opportunities in 12 days; passed on 5, missed once (7X7), 6X5 bull on last opportunity 12th day of 14 day season. It is a good unit there are a lot of bulls available, and some of them are awesome. I'm a resident and live about 3 hours from the unit. I will probably be up there for at least a week before the season starts and a few times during the spring and summer. Partner.
