I am looking for a new Mathews bow but need some guidance here. I will have a 26" DL and will be pulling 60 pounds. I want one that is going to get me some GOOD speed. I'm looking to have something slightly smooth too but it really doesn't bother me if it's just a little rough. What Mathews bow fits me best?

Nobody can tell you which bow will fit you the best, as it's a very personal decision. You really should try to shoot a couple different models and determine which one you like.

With that said, having a shorter draw length you're always going to be a little behind on speed, no matter what you do. But don't get hung up on that, as speed isn't necessary to kill deer.

I would look at something like the Z7 Xtreme or the new Heli-M that was just release. They both have very smooth draws and are plenty fast for deer hunting.

I'm not 100% sure on when they'll start showing up on shelves. I believe usually around the end of the year or early January is when the new bows arrive, but don't hold me to that. I'll try to find out and let you know.

Mathews makes a great bow, but by only shooting mathews, you're cutting about 75% of the bow market out, don't sell yourself short. Take two weekends, a few hours each Saturday at ur proshop shooting everything you can find, you might be surprised by what fits you the best. I went shopping for a mathews, and came home with a bowtech, and $300 more bucks in my pocket.

Don't get hung up 1 brand/bow. Shoot them all, and then decide.
