    Hey everyone,

I am looking at getting "The Block" type or maybe a bag target. Anyone have anything different or better that wont kill the wallet?

    Thanks,
    Mack

For a bag target to use with FP's I would get the Morrell Yellow Jacket. Takes a heckuva lot of shots before getting wore out and then all you need to buy is a new cover and it is like new again.

I have the block and my roomate has the YellowJacket and I got to shoot at them both and I really liked them both. The only difference was that I left my block out for two winters now and it is still going strong and his yellowjacket has sat out and it is having pass throughs now. I am sure if you keep the yellowjacket inside out of the weather it would last a little longer but I dont think it would out last the block.

I have the Morell block and bag and love them both. I don't leave them outside so I haven't had the problem that NRK talked about. But I have had them for a few years now and still in pretty good shape.

He should just by a new cover for the bag target. That will stop the pass throughs. It is also a good idea to compress the bag target now and then. Do this by just sitting on one side, bounce a little, rotate to another side, repeat for all 4 sides. I don't leave mine out but I don't think that is the issue.

I have a regular block and a 4x4 and love em both and I shoot alot and they are both about 4yrs old and have a ton of life in them...a backyard buck by Delta is also a good bang for a buck!

I also have a yellow jacket bag and love it also!

Hey u can get 2 morrel targets for under 100 bucks!

Otherwise walmart has some good deals on decent targets!

I just bought a morrell yellowjacket bag target for like $50 and they're supposed to last a really long time. I'm happy with it so far, but I've only got a couple hundred shots in it.

The Shot Blocker is an AWESOME target. You cant/shouldnt shoot mechanicals into it but you can shoot broadheads. Ive got a ton of shots into mine and its not even wearing down yet. I love it. I paid 80.00 for mine.
