I like badlands and blackhawk products. But it depends on the poundage, terrain, and type of gear IMO that would truly narrow it down. Sounds like, by your post, you're hauling close to 40ish lbs? So maybe a frame pack, especially if you pack out the animal like I do here in Wyoming, definitely a frame pack.

How much money are you looking to spend?

I love my Badlands Hybrid. I wanted a lot of pockets to organize my gear and the Hybrid was the ticket. I'm probably going to get a smaller pack for early season hunts when I'm not hauling my heavy jacket and bibs. I'm down to the Badlands Monster, Tenzing TZ 1250, and TZ 1200.

For carrying my LW Assault and Sticks I use the Molle II shoulder straps and belt, then strap my pack to the stand. It works pretty well.

Well, being a south central wi hunter, I am looking for something to run and gun on public land. Something that will allow me to carry all the treestand essentials but not weigh me down too much as I will already have over 20 lbs on my back with the lw stand and sticks. I like having lots of pockets and compartments to help with organization.

I like my LLBean. I can put my LW on over it. It holds more than it looks and it well built.

Packs can be your friend or your foe. Hopefully you can try a few on before deciding. Good luck to you

Take a look at the Tenzing stuff. Lots of options. Have videos on their site of the packs. But beware, watching the videos makes you want one.
