Hey everyone, I just started hunting and got my first deer in shotgun season here in INdiana. Now i'm looking for more of a challenge and am thinking of investing in a bow. I've tried some bows out and like the Bears but i'm not sure i wanna put that kinda cash into it without fully knowing whether or not i will enjoy it. So please help me out the best you can.

Also looking for a used atv around my area thats not too expensive.

Your best bet is to find a local archery shop or two. They most likely will have a handful of used bows that you can get fully loaded for a much cheaper price than a new bow. Then you don't have to spend the $$ to get all the accessories. Then, in a year or two, you can trade the bow in towards a newer one. You also get the benefit of getting to know the folks at the local shop. Just my 2 cents!

Good Luck and Welcome to the site!

Check out the Bowtech Razor Edge. Fully set up for $329. It's a beginners bow, but has a draw weight range of 29-60 pounds and I believe has a 10" draw length adjustability. If you decided to upgrade, I'm sure you could sell it easily to some one starting out in archery or to someone who's kid is getting into it.

I'd recommend you look into the Mission series of bow by Mathews. The Mission series has the same quality as the Mathews bows but for less money. And they're incredibly adjustable. I have a Mission Ux2 that adjusts from 22-30 inches and 40-70 pounds. And this particular bow adjusts its draw weight as the draw length is lengthened. Check these awesome bows out! And if you want any feedback on my UX2 just let me know.

I have an 06 PSE Diablo Pro Series Bow for sale. The bow comes with Tru Glo 5 pin site w/light, Whisker biscuit arrow rest (new), Limbsaver S-Coil Stabilizer, Limbsaver limb dampeners, brades wrist strap, D-loop, and peep w/tube. This bow has a built in string suppression system and the PSE B.E.S.T. grip. The bow also comes with SE 44 hard case and 9 PSE Carbon Force Radial X Weave arrows with white and black tiger wraps and black and white 2" Blazer vanes. It is currently set at 74#'s with a 29" draw. I bought it from the PSE factory when I lived in Tucson, AZ. It has 60-70# limbs and according to the factory can be set up to 74#'s with no problem. I can eve throw in a couple of broadheads if you are interested. $475 OBO. Better than a beginer's bow at a entry level price. The only thing this bow may need is a new string after this season. I shot a P&Y buck with this bow last year and got a clean pass through from 32 yards out. Great bow!!!!

I'm just wondering if someone might have a good gently used MFJ-259 or 259B they would be interested in selling. I don't run a shop and won't be using it to make money, i'm just wanting it for my own reference. Thanks for looking

I would suggest that you start by looking at the Diamond RazorEdge. I know many women that shoot that bow including my daughter. Great bow for the price and very well made and completely set up for you out of the shop. When I purchased it for my daughter we compared many different bows and this one totally stood out above the rest!

you should be able to pick one up really cheap in a few weeks or so as they are getting rid of the 09's to make way for the new 2010's so they will be discounting them pretty heavy

Before you purchase any I would suggest that you try several different ones to find the one you like the best. Like I said I would just make sure that the RazorEdge is on the list. I know it is going for $329 fully set up with sight, quiver and rest. Like BB said you may get it cheaper in the coming weeks.
