My wife and I took our first night's class in Bow Hunter's Ed last night and our instructor was talking about some equipment that has made his hunts easier. He had a sling on his bow that he carries it with that had a couple pouches on it and doubled as a fanny pack of sorts. Does anyone know what this is and who makes it? I'm searching the internet but haven't found anything yet and the Instructor, who also owns a local Pro-Shop, won't be in for quite a while!! If anyone knows what this is, please let me know or point me in the direction of something similar!!
Not sure if this is what he uses, but here's one you can check out... http://www.blacks-creek.com/Pages/R7 Product Pages/Accessories/DeluxeBowSling.html
another one... if your interested is the BowBat http://gameplangear.com/featured_prods/featprods_bowbatxl.html
I finally settled on and picked up the Black's Creek Bow Sling today. Tonight was our second night in the Bow Hunter's Education Class. It's held at the Pro-Shop, since the facility is big enough to accommodate that many students! After the class I was able to pay the owner for it. I just got it put on my bow and I'm excited about it! A friend of mine and I are going out after a Black Bear tomorrow and I'm gonna kind-of use tomorrow for the 'Maiden Voyage' for it. The sling is such an easy concept, but yet is so awesome in design and practicality! Thanks for the help guys. I'm glad I was able to get my hands on this.
Pole Mountain Outdoors makes a product called the Bow Shield that's similar to what you're talking about. I used it for two seasons, but never really got into putting stuff in the pockets. Eventually I just went back to a regular fanny pack w/backpack straps, and a small bow sling. No fault of the product itself, just my personal choice.
