Looking at pics, when does the rubbing start?

My bucks are still full velvet, so when do they start rubbing it off? In Central, IL when...like around what date?

 

I will add a buck pic I have tonight.

 

I'll be hunting in Wyoming on 9/1 and there will be a mix of fully cleaned off racks and those in full velvet. By the 15th they'll be 90% cleaned off. I'm guessing it'll be similar in Illinois.

 

I'm with JGD, usually mid-september most bucks are clean or almost clean in IN.

Here's a buck from right at the IN/MI line just this past Sunday the 19th

 

now that is a BUCK! However, it seems that both of our bucks are yet to start rubbing?

Earliest I've ever seen a rub is Sept 1st. Generally the velvet falls off in the first ten days of Sept.

I'd agree and say that 80-90% of the bucks will shed their velvet over these dates. As always there will be a few that will go early, like the last week of August, and a few will hold on into the 3rd week of Sept.
