I have to start with. I was a little bit sceptical of me liking the new PSE bows. They don't look like the normal bow that I would shoot and like. I didn't think they would be as smooth as they are.
But I have to say after I shot one of them I really really liked the feel of it. Now I'm on the hunt to maybe buy a used one.
I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on there favorite PSE bow. That way I can maybe get a starting point on which one to maybe get.
    Thanks

PSE is all I have used since they came out. Very accurate and a great company to deal with. Will not own any other.

I had a PSE vector from the 80’s up until 2011. I finally broke down and bought a PSE brute. I then upgraded to a DNA. I also owned a PSE Stinger. I’ve owned a few other popular brands of bows but, nothing else ever seemed as comfy. PSE has always been a perfect fit for me.

The prices on a brute are good. I looked at those. I found a older stinger for $150. Screenshot_2018-06-30-22-24-34.png
Can anyone maybe guess at which pse this is.

I can't remember the name of my first one but I had a fire flight that could hit a beer can 7 of 10 shots at 70 yards. Won a few buck with that one.

I bought a PSE Stinger back in 2012. Loved it. Very reliable, never had a problem with it. I don't shoot it anymore only because I hunt with a Mathews but nothing bad to say about it. Good bows!!

hmmmm.....tough to tell without being able to see both cams. It looks like it has the standard RTH (ready to hunt) package, which leads me to think it was one from BPS/cabelas(which isnt a bad thing). so it could be a brute-X, bow madness or one of the newer named PSE bows from the past few years.

I shoot a PSE X-Force GX and love it. Before buying I shot a lot of good bows and it just came down to what I felt the most comfortable shooting. Its a nine year old bow so you if you find one used I would recommend it.

I shot PSE bows (well, owned two of them) and like them quite a bit. I got a steal on a Mathews, so my BruteX has been hanging up for the past two seasons. The best thing you can do for a PSE is changing the strings immediately, huge difference.
I think you are in TN from what I saw in another thread, if you are close, you are more than welcome to test drive my PSE for a while. Needs a going over, but it's still shootable. I was planning on restringing it anyway.

I appreciate it. Now your Brute X was it the one cam.

How fast and smooth is it? I think now they have changed the Brute to a 2 cam.

Not as smooth as my Mathews, but I would not have known that had I not shot the Mathews (Not to say it is not smooth, I haven't shot it the PSE in 1.5yrs). It is fast enough to kill, I think I was around 280+/-fps with hunting arrows. PSE claims 312-320, but we all know those numbers are not accurate with your arrow setup.
Once I put new strings on it, it was like a completely different bow. I have no problem shooting well at 60 yards, it has a good draw cycle and a deep valley at full draw, depending on your preference, the valley can be a little too big for some.
Bottom line, it will kill the same way a $1200 big name bow does. If you could find a PSE for a good price, don't be ashamed of it. I scored a just about brand new (used) Mathews Heli-m loaded with sights/arrows/rest/release for $500, it was a deal too good to pass up. That is the only reason I got way from the PSE.

I shoot a Hoyt Trykon XL right now. I'm wanting something new but at the same time hate to leave the Hoyt. Unless I could find something that feels and shoots a lot better than my Hoyt then to me there is no need to change. I have so much confidence in my Hoyt. Its just time for strings and cables and before I spend the money on that I would like to at my options. Plus I would like to go to a 30" draw instead of my 29"

I still use my PSE BowMadnes. It shoots great and have no issues with it. Just replaced strings and cables last year so good for a bit now. Any bow you choose will be good if it feels right for you.
