Well let me say that I hunt OHIO and have never seen anything like this. The only cases I've ever even heard about were when a couple big deer, while hanging out in bachelor groups come late summer are in a place where they are easily seen from a nearby roadway. Then everyone thinks since they saw them, that they are "thier" bucks. I Certainly wouldn't keep hunting a property where I had to constantly wonder, who did, what, when I wasn't here..
That sucks, hopefully you can figure out who did it and confront them. Some people are just born a-holes though
Plus there is always the chance that someone used it as a drag on the way in and hung it there with an attractant scent on it. Then simply forgot to pick it up in the dark..??
