    .....to start getting ready :D

I haven't touched my bow since late December, but I am starting to get the itch for some shooting again. But first of all, new arrows were in order.

I placed a call to Gateway and our friend Onestringer and came up with this combo.

Also, my broadhead selection isn't set in stone yet, but I think this is the leading contender :D

Only 43 days till it begins here, time to practice!

    Anyone else pumped yet? :)

I'm ready. I don't have anywhere local to hunt this year, but I will be making my way up to NE Kansas to hunt my cousins property

Rite of spring.....fletching up the bird darts!

Probably won't wrap mine, though. Gonna try it w/out the blind, this year.

I have noticed a lot of turkey lately since the snow has been melting off. A couple nice ones too.

Yes I am. Not sure whether I'm going strictly bow or bow/scattergun combo (with the bonus tag).

My old man only turkey hunted twice. Once with a gun, and the 2nd with his recurve. The gun was to easy for him I guess, so he switched.

He didn't use a blind and called with his mouth (no diaphragm call). He killed a small tom the first morning, Out of everything he ever took with his bow, it was right up there.

I am beyond pumped at this point. Have lots of land/time to chase the toms here in KY till tagged out, I will be in KS chasin Rios April 8-12, and I will also have a TN tag good for up to 4 birds and an additional 3 weeks of season over KY.

Will have 8 turkey tags in my pocket total for the spring, If I kill 3 it'll be a great success! :p
