Title says it all. I have been hunting exclusively with a longbow for the past few years but I am looking for a compound bow to hunt with some for a little more speed and distance. Im not looking for a top of the line flagship bow but I do want one that is fairly fast and easily adjustable as far as DL and weight. I am looking for a barebow as I have been given a few decent quality accessories. Any recommendations are welcome!
I always recommend that people looking for a first bow or a budget bow look into Mission bows. They are made by Matthews and I have had one for 5 years now and it shoots great. That being said, go to a shop and shoot a few different bows and see what you like. Find one that you like that is in your price range. No suggestion is as good as actually feeling the bow in your hand.
I will check them out. I had someone else recommend a pse stinger x . Unfortunately my local archery shop is filled with guys that do not want to help unless you are buying top dollar of everything. So I will have to go to a archery shop further away . Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
I just bought a Mission Ballistic 2.0, and I love it! For the price range $600, you'll be hard pressed to find a better bow. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
if you have a cabelas near by I recommend going there they have a contract w/ bowtech and have in house deals with their own line of bows by bowtech. plus they will let you shoot any bow you want that's in their store. I have a bear great bow didn't break the bank
Craigslist and a couple hundred extra bucks for your local bow shop to give it a once over, maybe get a new string and cut ya a few proper arrows that fit you and the poundage you shoot. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
Solo cam. Whatever it is. Solo cam. As you see in my Avatar, I'm a long bow guy and I shoot a compound ALOT. Simplest design out there, easy to tune, low hassle, solo cam.
Well I got a super good deal on a pse drive r. I know alot of folks hate on pse but I believe it will do the job. Thanks guys
Thanks the shop was having a sale on last year's models so I only paid $300 for it Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
I only ever shot PSE's as they just felt right. Choosing a bow is like choosing a wife, it must feel right in your hands. That being said I am waiting for my Hoyt to come that I bought over the Internet Ive never shot a hoyt before, but it was a good deal for the accessories and I need a bow.
