    I was always under the impression and the only thing that made sense to me.... Bald spots on the shoulders and back are from working licking branches/scrapes. Hair gets rubbed off by the back of the rack and tines as they are working the branches. Not real common and mostly seen on older... better/bigger racked bucks.

    It is not a problem here in this tree barren country. LOL

    Thats as good of an explanation I have seen for it Tim, and makes sense to me.

    Sliver, sorry for the very late response, been busy with not so fun things at home and havent been online much. Awesome story and again what a wonderful buck. congrats again! :rock:
