I have a 33-34" draw - was out shooting tonight and for the first time (I am still a total newby) I was looking to see where my arrows were at full draw.

With field points, the tip of the field point it just about clearing the front of my Hoyt 38 Pro...like barely clearing.

From looking at the Easton site and using their tools - I am shooting Easton Axis ST 300's that look to be the full 32.5" length.

Am I ok with this? Came from the shop with these arrows, setup to my bow (they built it up for me)...

I am having a hard/impossible time finding 300's anywhere I look. (other then eBay)

Not sure what to tell you about your arrows vs draw length. But i bought easton gamesetters, and they were 35" before i had them cut. Hope that helps

What did you cut them with?

I've seen the arrow saws in my net searching, just wondering if they are required to cut an arrow...

    will check these out, thanks!

When i bought the arrows, the store cut for me free, and glued in the inserts.

Are you sure your draw length is 33 to 34 that would make you about 7ft tall according to my chart? Not ragging you it just doesnt sound right. You may want to measure your draw length.

Dude if you have that kinda DL, you are blessed. I thought I was lucky with 30.5. Are your arrows just barely clearing your bow or your rest?

yep - I am 6'6" and have had it measured at three different shops as well as measuring it myself with wing span and wall to my cheek...

I also have really long arms.

It just clears the front of the bow...and this is with field points. If I can, will get someone to snap a pic I can post. I am on travel this week to Camp Lejeune, there is an archery range on base so I may be able to have a friend grab a shot...

The tech at the shop that set up my bow was pointing out the speed I must be getting with my long draw...didn't have them measure it. (the speed)

Then you definetely have the advantage when it comes to fast bows!! I am jealous.
us 27" guys will never see the 350 FPS mark easily. If ever.

He has a speed advantage but a spine and forgiveness disadvantage as well.He has to shoot such a long arrow that not just any arrow will do and long arrows require stiff spines.

As long as you stay with the high end arrows like the acc and fmj series arrows, you should be fine but stay away from cheaper arrows.A full carbon arrow may not even be a good choice if you can't trim the ends.

An alluminum arrow should also serve you well.

I don't have anyone to measure it right now, and other then eyeballing it - best guess. Going from memory, my bow is in the truck of my rental car - 2 inches or so?
