I'm curious how many Lone Wolf owners actually use the built in bow holder on the cast platform stands? I use it and love the position it keeps my bow in. I had to use the "Wolf Jaws" for my bow (split limb) to fit properly, but I like not having to reach up/out for my bow, it's right there. Anyone else?
I don't use it. I wear lacrosse rubber boots and like to stick my bottom cam into the top of the boot when im sitting. Sounds silly, but it makes a nice little holder.
If we still had a like button I would like this. I have done this also. No I never use the built in holder. Either on the hook or in the top of my boot!
I have only used it once when I left my bow holder in another tree and didn't realize it until I was already in my stand. Honestly, I forgot it existed until I needed it. I prefer my screw in holder, but the stand holder worked well.
I put a piece of rubber innertube over it, laced it together on the bottom. Rest the bottom limb tip of my recurve on it. When using my creed or switchback i I rest the stablizer on my left leg and when mm watching a deer I look through the arrows in quiver, it helps to break up my outline.
Its the only thing Im jealous of with Lone Wold (I use Millennium). Would come in handy with public land and with filming, as I cant use screw in holders on public and getting rid of a bow holder would be one less thing to worry about with all the camera gear. Not sure I would like the position or not, but would like to find out. Just not willing to sit on such a small seat! Wont give up comfort for a bow holder lol.
I generally always hold my bow, and use my boot while standing. During the rut I will use a screw in step to hang my bow if I'm rattling.
I use mine all the time, I wrapped mine in stealth strips just I'm case I pump my cam on the cast, way better than a screw in hanger in my opinion
I use mine. I had to duct tape it up to keep it from scratching the crap out of my bow. I didn't know they made a insert for it, I've never seen it on their website. I'll have to look again, thanks. Nope, I still don't see a rubber insert on their website for the bow holder. Where can I find it?
I also didn't see it on the LW web site, but they have it at Lancaster Archery (Google it). Some folks say it doesn't stay in place for them, so I would suggest using some electrical tape to keep it in position. Here's what it looks like. It only cost's $10.
