What size tree does the regular belt allow you to climb? I know the XL allows you to climb up to 22" tree. My lone wolf is at my parents place so i cant measure the belt. Just trying to figure out if its worth it to get the XL for next season. Also wheres the cheapest place to buy an XL belt? Thanks

I bought the XL belts. They got installed for exactly one hunt, and still sit in a storage bin. They are too long for the smaller trees, and I've never climbed a tree that the regular belts wouldn't work on. The regular length are a MUCH better option for 99% of what most people would climb. Just MHO.

Thanks for the info. Let me know if you wanna sell! Last year there were several times when I couldnt climb certain trees because of my short belt

LOL... I'll give you the flip side of Matt's viewpoint (literally)

I routinely climb trees that I need every last 1/16th of an inch to get in with my XL belts... Conversely, I also get in 6"-diameter trees as well with them (ask Matt/PA and jmbuckhunter; they've seen me do it).

How do I do it? It's simple... just flip the bolts inside-out on the base of your LW that act as a "stop" to your belts currently. With the head on the inside and the bolt reversed, the belts will slide right on by now and you can tighten even the XL belts all the way down on even the smallest of trees. :)
