Guys let me know what you think. I can get a Lone Wolf stand thats 5 years old but I am told in good shape. Included are Lone Wolf sticks 3 set that were bought last year and used about 6 times. He said they are like new. I can get the whole set for $175. I have not seen these and obviously wouldn't purchase if they looked abused. How are the Lone wolf stands from 5 years ago? IS it worth the money or keep saving in my piggy bank for a new one. I figure the sticks new are 109 I think?

So in your opinion is it worth it?

Offer him $150.00 and that's a good deal.

That would be but the 175 is down from 200 already.

I would bet you would need to update the seat on that lock on (unless he already did). The older Lone Wolf seats aren't very nice.

I would say $130 is a fair price for both. IMO $175 is too much coin.

Wow 130 would be robbery I think. I guess I was just wondering if the older lone wolfs had the same leveling platform and basic construction. I know very little about the older ones. Any one have a older model?

I think its a good deal, I'd buy it in a heart beat! I think the seat upgrade is $35.00??? For about $200 all in you'd have a great set up!

3 sticks alone are $120+ new these days. Figure a year old and they would be a good deal at $100 for three. That makes the stand $75. You can buy a seat upgrade for $45 from lone wolf (that includes a new metal seat and pad). So for $220 You can have a set of lone wolf stuff, as good as new IMO, that would cost $189 + $129= $318.

I would inspect the stand for rust (connector cable parts) and the straps for any tears. If things looked good and safe I would buy it.

With it being 5+ years old, I would want new straps and cables as well.

Does this stand have the versa button system?

I'd be willing to bet if this was listed online in the classifieds somewhere it would last about a half a day! If its in good shape like he says, you probably don't need cables or straps. My stand and straps are about 4 years old, VERY well used and are rock solid! If there is a strand on the cable that is broke I replace them if not your fine, use you discretion!

I was thinking it was an Alpha hang on, the cheapest I have seen those is $189. Sticks used to be $110 at 3rivers but now they are $129.

I am just saying, I wouldn't trust my life or livelihood to what some tells me about their used stand. I would replace the parts of the stand that could fail. That;s just me.

Good advice thanks Guys. I really want the sticks more so than a older stand. Maybe I will see what he would do for the sticks and maybe try and offer him bottom line $150 for everything.

It all depends on the shape of the stand. $150 is very reasonable for a set of hardly used one yr. old sticks and a 5 yr. old stand as long as its in good shape.

I offered him 150 for the whole set up. It does have the old seat but has the new backpack straps. He hesitantly accepted the offer. So all in all a great deal I think. Thanks for your opinions guys I appreciate it!
