That seat is so uncomfortable ....am I doing something wrong? The front strap cuts into my legs ... I end up standing the whole time ...... suggestions?

Tony, you may want to find Buckeye's thread where he combined the Sit and Stand with a Summit seat... looks like the best of both worlds to me.

I find myself playing with it ALOT ...lol .... my personal favorite way to sit is high ....its the stealthiest way to go to a standing position ... another thing I noticed having it high (seat) ... my bow will knock i to much ...

I have had the bar in front of ma and behind me ... when behind me, it was on my legs before the seat was ...my angle must have been too steep?

I don't get it....how much does a thick ass cushion weigh anyway? Why can't these companies selling 200-400 stands at LEAST make them comfortable? Summit gets this, but the things weigh more than a ladder stand :D (atleast the ones I have carried did)

I think a company that came out with a LW/Muddy/Summit LIGHT stand that was hands down no questions asked actually comfortable, they could steal the market share in a hurry. Muddy's cushion is like 3" thick and it sucks too because of the design of the seat.

I had zero issues with LW climber and seat, hell I used to sleep in it.

Muddy's seat design stinks on how it attaches.

Give it time Tony, you'll find the sweet spot like jeff stated before.

Do yourself a favor and chunk up the bones for a Summit seat. The Viper style seat is the only way I would have ever kept my LW Sit/Climb. Hated that friggin seat. I now have the Hand Climber top. I like it a lot.

I ponied up for the Summit seat on my LW. I love it now. I tore the snap buckle and strap off the top of the LW seat though (the one that goes around the tree to hold it up) and sewed it onto my new Summit seat. I didn't like those bungee cords with the metal hooks on the end. Now it's awesome, and super comfortable.

Another thing that's cheap and easy to do is add those LW foot rests. It allows you to relieve some of that pressure that builds on the back of your legs.

That's what I was talking to you about Tony. I knew RJ did something but couldn't remember what. One would think that $$ means comfort.

Jeff, I could carry mine sit for sit with you without hesitation. I did just that with Tony and his. I was comfortable, he was not. I just don't get spending that much $$ on a stand that for better terms....sucks. For the same $ I could have an aluminum one of what I already own and NOT have to modify it. I've still never found a more comfortable stand but whatever floats your boat. For multiple years it's all I EVER used.

And we all know you have to justify your stand but I was talking to Tony thank you. ;)

If I was going back to another sit and climb, I would be looking at a Summit. Preferably an Open Shot with the fold up seat or a Razor with the fold away bar.

Well if you think I've never sat in one, your solely mistaken but again, whatever floats your boat. I'm sure it's great, once modified.
