    Justin,
Yes the muddy does taper down, but it's still plenty useable space. I can stand up and snug up against the tree sideways, all the way out to standing on the platform, all in comfort and the "feeling" of being secure. The size vs. weight really turned me on to them.
As for customer service it was done by email. I get what you're saying about picking up the phone but part of the emailing to me is a test. When I email muddy I get a response back typically the same day, sometimes within hours. Not only that, I go into work really early so I can shoot them an email in the morning and not have to worry about stopping my day to call.
    Good cheap shot
I really like the foot rest, seat, sticks and how the harness works with the system. I'll be honest, I didn't know at the time that lone wolf had a foot rest option. I did sit on both the seats and actually liked the muddy better. I still do. I can sit in it all day. I've actually bought a few more of them for my other stands. The sticks I like better because I like the step themselves and how they are on both sides of the stick. I do wish they were as long as the lone wolf sticks. Lastly, the harness has clips that hold the sticks as you climb, this allows you to take the sticks with you as you go. This way you can tie a rope to the stand and another to your gear and once you go up, you never have to come back down.

We can't argue both are a good stands and worth their cost. I just really like what muddy was doing at the time and what they're doing as a company. I have never used a wolf stand and only have seen them in the stores. If I come across someone that has one, I'd be more than happy to give it a run, but until then, I'm extremely happy with my muddy.

Been using Lone Wolf for about 10 years now. They are light and quiet. Have been very solid for me.

    No complaints.

I was hunting from 30 foot up this year with my Muddy Outfitter and my Muddy Outfitter - could stand on the end of the platform away from the tree and look down with comfort, not a problem!
