I have always been curious about the true weight of the hand climber versus the sit and climb stand. We have a scale at work that is calibrated once a month for accuracy. I brought both of my Lone Wolf climbing stands to work this morning for a weigh in. My Lonewolf sit and climb has backpack straps, footrest, and a Hazmore seat on it, it weighed 18.5 pounds. My hand climber has backpack straps and the Hunt Comfort seat on it, it weighed 18 pounds. Like I said I did this comparison because I've always been curious if the hand climber is saving that much weight over the sit and climb that is much more comfortable. This answers my question. Now the only thing you have to decide is which you like better. The sit and climb is more comfortable but the hand climber is a little more sturdy in my opinion. I hope this helps someone.
I've never weighed them, but I have a Wide Sit and Climb and compared it to the hand climber by picking both up at the same time. I honestly couldn't tell a real big difference. Now, like you , my SC has a Hazmore seat on it and the footrest kit. I honestly think the seat used on the LW's is heavier than we realize. If I remember correctly, when I took my stock seat off, I weighed it and it weighed around 2lbs.
