My run/gun setup are the newer sticks that have the thicker powder coating on them. They were already tight before installing. I used a lighter and burned the knap down on the material where the V brackets touch the stick below to get them to nest a bit easier. Now they seem to be just about as tight as they were before the strips and I'm guessing it will only get better with use/wear. If I were to do it again, I'd have used on of my older sets of sticks that have the anodized finish. They seem to fit a bit easier.

The big thing that has me thinking about the stick quiver is that with or without the stealth strips, the sticks aren't exactly easy to nest perfectly when it's dark. I like the idea of just snapping them into the quiver without fumbling with them and trying to get that versa button bolt into the hole so they are nested tight.

Perfect timing for this thread, I just picked up a LW Alpha and sticks off craigslist and it came with the stick quiver. Looking to use it as a mobile setup, and I as well will be carrying camera gear.. Interested in seeing what others have to say.

I had the same thought, I took the top strap and wrapped it around stand and sticks back to the versa button. That seemed work at holding everything together securely.

So I picked up the quiver last night at Cabela's on my way home from work........

Not sure if I'll use it or not. I for sure won't use it while heading into the stand and hanging the stand. It's too loose and cumbersome to climb with the sticks in the quiver compared to being nested. I may keep it in the pack and use it to re-attach the sticks on my way out at night. It is easier to snap them into the quiver vs. trying to get them fumble and get them nested in the dark.......

I wonder if it has to do with the tolerances of the clips, or variations in the sticks (eg powder coating, wear, etc)?

I'm tempted to try them but reviews seem to be all over the place for me to drop $40. That money could be used for craft beer that I KNOW is good.
