Actually like the last one best.... BTW I used to own a small PC company and did PC for over 20 years...
I like #2 the best if the B has the vertical line on it and one of the insects is a bee around the house. #4 is second vote. I just personally like the colors of #2 better.
I hate to say this..it's not something everyone needs, unless you are talking termite treatments...but it is something most everyone wants no one wants bugs, especially here in the S.E.. As far as small businesses go it has one of the highest profit margins of any..
It was a toss up with me between the 3rd ans 4th one, but for some reason I like the 4th better.. it would look good on the side of a PC truck of most any color..
I really like three, but I was thinking about embroidery (like emblems on shirts) - it'd be a tougher to do.
#2 includes the home element, which I like, but I don't like the font or the placement of the insects. I like the unified look of number 4. Combine the text/placement of number 4, with the logo in #2 (minus the insects), and maybe include a spider crawling on the text. I don't think you need to have all of the insects represented.
Unless you persuasively let them know they need it Most of our business is a one time annual preventative treatment. We are centrally located in the finger lakes region here in NY. It is HUGE! People around the lakes don't want to deal with the spiders and cobwebs mostly. We also have a very healthy supply of commercial accounts that we treat on a monthly basis. You're right about the profit margin. It's incredible. Overhead is next to nothing compared to other small businesses.
down here we sold a ton on mainly exterior only treatments normally $85 a quarter very seldom did interiors unless they had an issue.. I didn't do any commercial accts or schools...
#3 Hands down! Attention grabbing... would be VERY recognizable! The others may be slick, but not as memorable.
What will you be doing with this, where will it go? Most of the time simpler is better. Especially when it needs to be small, or go on something moving like a truck door. I like #1 and #2. #2 would be hard to make out though. You want people to be able to search the company. It's hard to search a logo.
