Dadgum, I thought figuring out all the bow stuff would never come but im far enough along to think abouit buying some lock on tree stands. Ive looked at all of them on internet and a lot in person. How about you guys throwing out there what you think is best. I'm 57 yrs old and I would say i am in good shape; good enough to do this, just have to take my time. I have been using climbing stands for rifle hunting and I do that well and I do use all the safety harnesses. What is best in your opinion? also what would be best climbing sticks? Thanks a bunch

I love the Lone Wolf Climbing Sticks. I am buying a set this year. I have the Millenium M100, M50 and M25 loc on stands and I love them all. Very comfortable and easy to hang. Especially the M100 and M50 because of the Cam Loc Receiver. I have heard a lot of great things about Lone Wolf Alpha stands too.

I've been a huge Lone Wolf fan for many years, ever since I climbed & sat in one. Rock solid, easy to hang, quiet, easy to pack... the list goes on & on.

I would say it depends on what you intend to do. If you are on private land and plan to set stands up and leave them out then a regular climbing stick attached to the tree would be in order. If you are putting up and taking down at the end of your hunt then maybe you could invest in climbing sticks like the Lone Wolf or Muddy one's.

Ol' Man Tree stand makes great lock ons. Their nice and big so you have plenty of room up in the tree. Take a look if you get a chance! Good Luck!

def depends on your intended use...you can go the more expensive route or the cheaper route. All comes down to preference. I have a lone wolf alpha set with lone wolf climbing sticks and love it, but i also have some riversedge hang ons with ladder sticks, and some real cheap ****s sporting good specials that do the trick too. i believe they're called comfort zone, hang on and ladder sticks post season cost me all in around 65 bucks! With that said, my favorite set is the lone wolf!

Yea Lone Wolf is your top of the line but if you want to go cheaper looking into an Ol'man tree stand. They make a great stand for a reasonable price. Good Luck!

I use screw in steps and either Remington or Ameristep lock ons. I usually buy cheaper lock ons so that I can have plenty of sets. I would like to have Lone Wolf, but there is no way that I could afford to buy more than one stand and set of sticks.

Yup I thoroughly enjoy my Lone Wolf hang on with the climbing sticks. They are easy to pack in, I just strap my backpack onto the frame and cinch it down. I actually ended up selling my Lone Wolf climber once I got the hang on!
