Do any of you make your own trail camera lock boxes? I am looking for ideas to fabricate something better than what you can buy.

I thought about an electrical breaker box...? I want to put my trail camera on public land and I want it secured well.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

The boxes from cam lock box are pretty tough.... May want to check the regs before you got thru all the trouble. In OH you cant attach anything permantly to a tree. Obviously there is NO other way i would leave a trail camera on public land besides in a lock box

Cam lock boxes are very durable. My dad sell them on his website and ebay/amazon. He drives up to Green Bay and picks them up directly from the guy who makes them. I went up there a few weeks ago and saw the operation he has going and thought it was pretty cool. He has a laser cutter cutting everything and then they weld them together and send them out to be professionally painted. They are tough as nails

What a shame. A man can't even put out a trail camera out without worrying about some S.O.B. stealing.

I will check them out. For 32 bucks I guess there isn't any point in building one. Anyone have a link to the website?

Amen! It's a shame that people can't leave things alone that doesn't belong to them. My old man taught me to work hard for what I have and nothing comes for free.
