1. I'd say around 60 inches 2. I know of a 150" 9 point that was killed this rifle season about 5 miles away
I actually added up the rough numbers of all the bucks I saw while hunting this year and came up with around 105 with the biggest being around 140-145. There's several 200 inch deer taken or seen within a few miles of pretty much all of my spots every year. I've yet to see one alive, day or night.
Average probably 100-105". The biggest the in the immediate vicinity would probably be about a 170-180" a few years back.
average deer i see-- 110-130 avrerage deer killed around me 130 biggest deer around me killed less then 300 yards from my house 216 5/8 last season a stand that was my buddys that he let a friend of his hunt two days out of.
1. What is the average size of the bucks you see while hunting? About 60" 2. What is the biggest buck you have heard of killed in your area? 187" net NON-typical and he was two years past his prime.
All the bucks that I have EVER seen my area are under 100 inches. This past season a guy at our club shot a 150"-160". It was my first year hunting in the area so hopefully I'll get into finding bigger bucks.
I'd say if you take out the 1.5 year olds the bucks here are gonna average close 120" If you average them in then that number will drop. There are more 1.5 year olds than any other age class. I've seen a handful of bucks taken in my home county that will go 200" to 230" As far as body weight most Bucks I've tagged would average over 200# field dressed the biggest dressed out at 240# Most guys don't actually weigh them, but 90% of mine have been weighed as it is fairly easy since I always hang them anyway. Most bucks in my hunting area that I see are in the 80"/90" class. My best in 8 years of hunting this state land is 108" from this past season. There are a few bigger ones, but I only seem to see them on my trail cam (mostly night) around the pre rut/rut. I'm sure on much of the surrounding private land there are much bigger bucks killed though. The buck in my avatar would be a decent buck in my area.
