At the first week of Oct, I found myself in the same deer stand as last year, seeing a few deer a day, since then two more hunters have moved on the property and seem to change the deer pattern. Its been about 2 weeks of hunting every morning and Ive seen no deer. Whats the deal? Did the other guys spook them off? I dont know if I need to move my stand or what, any advice. One guy is hunting only about 150 yards straight in front of me, and the other guy about 300 yards from me, which is crazy when we are on about 20 acres. I'm not really good with picking out a good location for my stand, I have placed my stand two other spots earlier, one I seen nothing, and the other nothing in the morning, but very active during the evening, 4pm till dark. no decent bucks from this stand though.I was wondering when rut starts to kick in , will they start running that more in the mornings? Any advice will be appreciated.

I think it is being over hunted. The deer have moved on. 3 guys on 20 acres is way too much and you have hunted it far too much.

Get away from those guys and play the wind with your new stand location , its posible if you get in there early enough they just may push them towards you .

Same situation I am in....well almost. I have 3 acres by the house which connects to lots of woods. Neighboring landowners constantly running atvs around the property line. I have a few other parcels to hunt. One is a 10 acre section which one other hunter has permission to hunt also. Two other 20 acre sections and those both have 2 other hunters each lot. One option is finding some public land and hope nobody hunts it much. My other option is late season when it is too cold for the other hunters to be out. So yeah I feel your frustration.

Agree. Get in the stand earlier than these guys and leave later than they do. They'll likely move the deer when they come in and when they leave.
