This thread posted last month (http://forums.bowhunting.com/showthread.php?22963-Interesting-Factoid) really got me thinging about the area I hunt. I was finally able to track down some interesting stats about the Border Lakes Region of Minn.

Size of Area 2,771,462 acres (~5.1% of the state)

    Land ownership breakdown
    -81.7% Public
    -17.8% Private
    -0.5% Tribal

    Land Use/Land Cover
    -72% Forest
    -16% Water
    -11% Open/Wetland
    -1% Pasture
    -<1% Developed
    -<1% Row Crops

And finally, population density... 3.3 people/sq. mi.

This all makes for a very interesting place to bowhunt! :tu:

Mind posting the link to where you found this info? I would like to see that site. Pretty interesting.

Here in this area of Iowa, there's one person for every 30 acres. I think its getting a little too crowded!
