I am looking for a good mid layer. Has anyone used the 35/-15 rated jacket as a mid layer? I was wondering how warm they are while on stand. Also, how do they fit for bowhunting. Thanks for the help.

I tried that coat on at their Freeport store because I wanted a winter coat for the not so cold days. I didn't end up buying it for no other reason than indecision, but I remember the shell and think it might be too noisy for bowhunting. LLBean is great with returns so you could always try it and send it back if it doesn't work for you.

My wife has the women's version in a couple colors.
It's a nice jacket for the money.

However there are two versions of it, I think the heavier one is 90 grams of prim aloft and other is lighter.
I wouldn't expect miracles from it. It will make a decent layering piece if you putting it under something with windstopper. It's fairly light for stand hunting for long periods of time.

no way I'd wear anything with a nylon shell in a treestand for bowhunting.
