Live from the Turkey Fields

Back in the field today. Had a bunch of gobbling going on at first light, but now it's been quiet for the last 45 mins or so. Hoping they are just with hens right now and will leave them mid morning when they go to nest. I'm pretty sure I had 4 birds gobbling this morning from different directions. Be nice to tag out today so I can relax at home the next 2
Days.

My dad got his bird a few weeks ago, now me and my buddy get our chances. He is up to bat first.

Bird down, shot by my buddy at 9:40 this morning.
Its finally my turn to sling an arrow! hopefully will be out tomorrow.

Going out again tomorrow, today was the first morning we got skunked, I fear its getting to late in the season and they aren't as hot as they are earlier in the year. Oh well, you can't kill em from the bed

Same group of birds that my buddy shot his out of yesterday showed up. We changed location in the field and changed out the strutter we used yesterday for a jake. They where to smart to fall for it again even with those shuttle changes and bogeyed.
