Well they slipped up the creek behind me, had one bird at about 30 yards but I passed. That's a Lil farther than I like for turkey. Likely would've gotten busted on the draw anyway. Nice mornin though !
Tackle- you braving the winds this afternoon? I'm sitting down in a draw trying to keep out if the wind, got two gobbling every now and then. One sounds like he is getting closer, so we will see what happens. Here's my view for now
Well like I said I could hear two gobbling off in the distance, but it was too windy for them to hear me. So I called a couple more times, then sat back and played on my phone for a while. Then I took my face mask off, put a good dip in, and enjoyed the afternoon. After a while I looked up and saw a tom standing on the other side of the ditch about 80 yards from me. He dropped down into the ditch, so I put my gloves as face mask back on and brought my gun up. He popped up about 35 yards away and started doing the alarm cluck thing, so I shot him in the neck Hero shots ***gore warning***
