No shows, just like my morning group(s). Something tells me they have very controlling boyfriends.

Seems to be slow so far. Ive got a view of at least 500 acres of field and have seen nothing so far, and that's rare. Go figure, coldest morning we've had in a week

Stark contrast to yesterday morning, 0 deer on the drive here and 0 deer on stand. Heard a buck fight for the first time ever shortly after getting in the stand, had me optimistic. Slowly losing hope, think it's all happening under darkness.

Wow, are you hunting behind me? Just got on here to say I seen my first deer, little buck was chasing a small doe through the creek. She ran up the embankment and it took him 3 times to make it up. Not sure how much I got on video. Pretty comical and renewed my hope

Bucks moving like crazy this morning. Unfortunately, they are all moving thru just out of range. I've seen 5 different bucks, BIL who is tagged out has seen two different 10s, a 9 and two 8s all are shooters. I have been skirted all week, I just can't seem to close the deal!

I've got a buck grunting around the hill from me. So far he's stayed out of view. The wind has picked up here but it's still in my favor.

When a doe is walking around with her tail up a sign of estrous? Second one I've seen like that while the others have their tails down

Yes, that is usually an indication that they're hot.

Wind has finally switched to the SE, just moved to a stand 35 yds north. Unfortunately thT also means the temp is going to start climbing. Near record highs in November is never good.

Nothing today on my morning sit. Shot a coyote last night. gonna go track him today. If anything else try to retreve my arrow. Carbon arrow, rage tip, luminok. $$$. One expensive yote if I don't find it. Gun season starts this saturday in indiana so hopefully the does that are on lockdown will be running. Think I'm gonna get my gun tag cause they are letting you carry a gun and a bow this year in indiana. Maybe use both tags in one day! That would be sweet! I'll post pics of the yote I shot if I find it.

Another 1/2 hour and I'm done, quite possibly for the weekend, these gnats are terrible. Supposed to rain and thunderstorm tonight/tomorrow and with everything like it is I can't see it insantaneously moving into daytime movement. Midweek will probably return to normal, just in time for shotgun opener. Luckily I have one of those too.

Well the grunting stopped around 11:00 and it's been all quite since. I'm going to sit another hour if the temps allow it. It's well on it's way to mid 70s today. Being in the shade and having a breeze have made it possible to sit out in these rising temps.

Yeah I had to get down. Way. Too. Hot. I'll head back out at 230 or so. Saw quite a bit of movement this morning, including 4 hot does. Riddle me this: how can ou see 4 hot does and nothing but a spike buck? A mature whitetail would be nice to see sometime soon.

In a new stand that my BIL and I hung after our morning hunt. He's been seeing a nice 10 point every evening coming out of this finger into a cut bean field checking for hot does. I'm set up just on the inside of the finger. Clouds are rolling in but it's yet to rain. A light drizzle wouldn't be all that bad. Good luck all!!!!

Just as I sent that I heard several distinct grunts. With no response, we wait.
