2 doe @ 80yds browsing around. I wish these 25-30mph swirling wind gusts would stop!

Just got in stand for my second evening hunt. For all the acorns around the woods had been quiet. Haven't seen a squirrel on either sit so far. Kinda weird. Winds are starting to die down; still some gusting at times.

Back in the same stand as this morning. Lots of birds and high wind gusts so far.

Hoping the ultimate camo keeps me invisible. Getting to be that time, things are getting that "right" feeling going.

I think every blue jay in the state of IL just flew into the trees 60 yds away. Most annoying sound in the woods

I'm starting to lose my optimism, times like these when I wish there were field edges on the property. That golden hour of evening sits never really pans out here. Mornings are awesome though.

Sick to my stomach the buck I've got on camera is on the other side of the field walking towards my dads stand that he is in!!! Is it bad not wanting him to harvest him. He's 450+yrds away and no time for me to make a move

Shortly after my last post had a button buck and doe fawn come in at 6:25. They fed on acorns about 5 minutes and went into the thicker brush. Was waiting on momma but she either caught my scent trail coming in or didn't make it through the 2nd day. So at least I seen deer on stand.

Not sure how well it turned out. But center of picture is doe fawn, bottom left is where the button buck is.

I would say that's bad. I think I would be happy if my old man killed a nice buck!!! In fact, probably more happy than if I had killed it myself. If it weren't for him I probably would have never been introduced to this great sport that we all love.
