Calm and 60 where I'm hunting in Illinois. I killed a doe about 45 minutes ago. Hoping something else may come out!
It's cold in PA and I'm not in the best morning spot but couldn't miss a chance to get out. Gonna head for the house soon and plan the afternoon hunt out.
It's a nice 53 degree day in Chesapeake VA been here 3 1/2 hours and haven't seen much hear a lot of movement but its soo think out here that I can maybe see only 20-25 yards gonna be an interesting day for sure Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk
Pretty warm in Illinois this evening. Currently 82 with a wind coming out of the south! Ready to see some deer!
Been in the stand since 3. It's party sunny, 82 degrees and windy as heck. Havent seen a deer yet but I shot a opossum at 15 yards with a judo point. They work extremely well. Good luck guys.
just got home from an evening hunt. Sat in the blid from 3-7. saw 6 doe and 10895757494 chipmunks. Went to 82 today. Way to hot imo. Tried the vanilla extract today as well. the doe liked it
Sunday morning About 30 min ago had doe & fawn at 40. Beautiful day, 60+ degrees. Waiting for deer or turkeys.
Been sitting since 1/2 hour before shooting light. Kicked up two does on the way to the stand. Gonna have to wait it out a little longer today. Perfect weather. No wind. 50deg. Good luck everybody! Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk
Varmint control specialist checking in. Too dang hot to be deer hunting. Insects are ridiculous. These judo points are very effective. Head shot on the opossum.
I've been in the tree since 6:00. Nothing moving yet. The sun is breaking through the clouds right now but it's not supposed to last. Meeting a guy to go get a 5th property today. It's apparently in need of some deer removal. It's in a county that has unlimited does per day, per year. 10:00 Update: haven't seen hide nor hair of any deer today. Getting ready to pack up. I'm gonna move a hang-on stand to another tree. I might sit on the other side of this property during mid-day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No movement yet ...prolly cause the corn is still up ...gonna give it 2 more hrs bc I want so more cheese/jalapeno bologna!
Weather has cleared up here in Knox Co. Illinois... Sitting on the edge of standing corn, and man they are tearing it up!!! About 40 yds in all around is beat up. Filming my buddy if deer come his way and he'll film me if they come mine... They better come mine!
Sitting on the ground (well log) in the rain for 2 hrs, getting ready to go, no deer. Thank God for Frogg Toggs! On my way out, going past the spot I wanted to go to were 3 big does. One was inside my max range, but she was starring at me. The reason I didn't set up there was the rain has swollen the creek and I couldn't cross it. Tomorrow morning I might put on the hip waders and get in there EARLY. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Buddy might have just killed his first buck, and first deer... Nice little 6 came through and at 30 yds he hit it back... Got it on film but can't tell exactly where the arrow hit... Keep you guys posted!!
Watched the shot probably 40 times and it looks like it just skinned his back, hard to tell so we scanned the whole property for 2 1/2 hours.. No blood, no deer! Just glad it wasn't a serious cut or wound.
Just had a young spike walking right down the middle of the creek. When I was reaching for my bow the arrow fell off the shelf and clanked on my stand. He stopped looked around and continued to walk out of the creek where I had entered to cross. Then he went on his merry way. I've been sitting in the rain all morning. It's letting up now. I'm in the spot I saw the 3 does last evening. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
