FTI this particular stand of trees. The view isn't quite as open as I'd hoped, but my spirits are still high!

squirrel #2 just came for a drink. It did rain all day yesterday so this may not be as good as it could be.

First evening . Not much of action. Lots of squirrels feasting on da nutz..., a couple turkeys and a unidentified 4 legged animal I couldn't see all that well. Out the door tomorrow at 4:30 AM for another go at it.....

Just got settled in and I'm finally relaxing. I shot a spike horn right at sunset. It is my first deer ever. Had I waited maybe 5 more min. I would have had a shot at a nice 6-pt. The woods were on FIRE tonight. I saw 6 deer and the smallest was the one I shot. I didn't see any does. All bucks and BIG ones. I saw a monster 10-pointer that would easily score 150. I'm excited to hunt this field again.

Checking in warm and windy here. Should be good with a cold front on the way. I had a couple good bucks on the camera.

Last year one busted me drawing while they were behind a tree. They're pretty ridiculous.
