I have never seen a yote that big nor with teeth that white. Also never seen one with a face like that. Looks more wolf that yote. Ours down here are tiny and malnourished looking!

Not as big as it may look. The arrow as reference is 29". Probably only weighed about 35 pounds. I was able to one hand it by the tail over the embankment.

Getting off a 24hr. shift in a few minutes, home for some breakfast, then heading to the woods! First weekend Ive really been able to hunt since the opener. Wind is good, crops are cut, and it sounds like the prerut is on! Should be a good day!

Winds a lot higher than forecasted. My gortex boots are soaked through. Moved from tree stand to sit by the food plot. Don't know how much longer I can take this 25 deg wind chill with rain sleet snow mix. Hurry up Bambi.

Finally settled in. Started to climb a dead tree and didn't notice it. Now sitting here listening to squril hunters blast away. Can't wait to own my own land. [IMG][IMG]

    Late post:
Got back to my stand in record time with little to no noise. Got up there and looking around b/c can't rely on sound. Turn around and I guess the deer saw me turn and it turned up the hill. Awesome 4 deer for the day. Keep watching that general direction. See 4 more deer from my stand making a total of seven deer and one deer skull seen this afternoon.

Did not get a shot on a single deer, well I could have shot one of the fawns but didnt really want a fawn when there was a fat doe there. That and the wifey says no killing babies.

Great day once I saw the deer. My gortex boots are not waterproof for all day in the rain and walking in the water.

Any of you guys hunting in the NE with all the snow? I am planning to go out tomorrow, heard there is 15 inches on the ground with a lot of sagging tree limbs. Any eyewitness accounts would be helpful.
