I have seen nothing but tree rats this morning and now it is starting to rain. The deer, along with some raccoons, are going through 2-50# bags of corn a week. When I get home I will post some pics of bucks I am getting on cameras. Since Wed. I have gotten 1400 pics, mostly of does and raccoons but a couple hundred are big bucks.
Just climbed into a new stand that i hung yesterday. God willing I'll be back with an update from a successful hunt shortly. Pretty windy up here right now.

2011 october Seen plenty of deer this year, but yet to have the right situation for a bow kill...this past Saturday was my first opportunity as a doe walked out 15 yards from me and i rushed things...she caught me in mid-draw, blew, and bolted....i wanted to vomit
Been in the tree since 6:15. While I was climbing up I had a deer blow at me and continued to blow while leaving the area. At 7:00 I had a deer walking within 30 yds to my right but all I could see was white belly. It was still quite dark. at 7:15 I saw a raccoon. Right now the sun is shining on me like the spotlight at 20th century fox. UPDATE: I took this EAB button buck at 9:00. I had switched to squirrel hunting for the moment. I had just skinned the hair off a tree rat when this button walked up. I nocked a broadhead and pegged him. It was a bit far back but 60 yards from the tree he died. You're looking at the exit site. UPDATE II: Back in another tree on another property. Let's see if I can twofer today. Well it's 5:15 pm and in the past 20 minutes I've heard 4 gunshots from the neighbor's property. Well up in my favorite stand. Wind is perfect for it, however, it is blowing a steady 20-25 gusting to 45. Let's say I'm not real hopeful and feel mighty ridiculous right now

I'm back in the same tree as yesterday morning where I shot the EAB button buck. The last time I was here in the pm I had 3 does come out right after dark. Maybe they'll be here earlier today. It just got done raining and the woods are very quiet except for the lawn care crew mowing a few houses over. The wind seem right, we'll see. Update: nothing seen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
