Had a six point come in to some light rattling/grunting he then bedded 20 yds from me for almost an hour if he gave me a shot I prolly would have let him have it but he got up and went the other way

It was pretty awesome, happened so quickly..... I gotta start videotaping.
He came in from my left through some thick cedars.....stopped, turned to his right and luckily walked into a opening I had just cut out. I drew back, turned to my left....*bonk* hit the stand with bow, he stopped, got on him just in time when he looked up and let er' fly!

[IMG]Well I managed to get to a treestand this afternoon.
Last day of vacation. I had 4 days of pouring rain (hunted some anyway) and 3 days of huntable weather. I saw some deer during my time off but never loosed one arrow. As per my luck, tonight as I was hitting the ground from my tree there were 3 does in the drainage field behind me. When I got to the property I found a fresh rub 40 yards to my left and a fresh scrape 30 yards to my right. At least I know my stand is in a travel path still. As I was leaving I put out some preorbital scent on the licking branch and I peed in the scrape. I'll be hitting the property as often as possible. I believe there might be at least 1 descent buck there.

Its cold, wet, and windy. Heard a deer blow about 200-300 yards away but that's it. Not even seeing the normal squirrels. Pushing myself to stay out.
