I hope you haven't been eaten by a mountain lion. Because that would be the only acceptable excuse for the lack of updates.

Man tough crowd. Been up in the high country last two days without much service. Found an amazing meadow loaded with sign and blew a stalk on a nice cow. Hunted the area all day yesterday and this morning. With no other sightings other than a group of cattle that arrived this AM

On a positive note I met a guy who was born and raised not far from me and lives here now. He has a cow tag and cameras out. Has a wallow just 1.5 mi above our camp that is getting hit by a few bulls almost daily. He was kind enough to provide GPS cords so after a quick shower that's where we are headed. Yesterday afternoon he watched a 4x4 in it all afternoon so fingers are crossed.

Temps have been in the high 30s at night maybe breaking 70 on the warmer afternoons. Yesterday it rained lightly almost all day.

Last night the bugling started :)
A lot of it. At least 4 different bulls bugling in the direction we are headed this afternoon and two others across the valley.

    Things are heating up

I will say if I tag out only 1.5 miles from camp imma kick my own ***. Lol we have been hiking 10ish miles a day. More than once we have been in areas that looked promising but man getting a bull out would be tough.

1.5 mile pack out sounds pretty good. It's amazing how after a few days the pack seems to get lighter the pain in your legs becomes normal and you wake up at 4am eager to go abuse yourself some more.

Seeing a lot of deer. Tons of em
Also he warned us that the area we are hunting next hold quite a few bears and a lioness and cubs. So to be wary on a second trip in for meat. Could be interesting.
