That's so flat, it's like cheating. Lol

I've seen elk happily grazing within 100 yards of cattle. One of our friends watched an angry bull elk attack a moo cow and roll it down the mountain.

5 miles on the boots so far this AM. Not where we wanted to hunt but making the best of it. Hopped on the ATV this AM and noticed it was on E. Apparently the roughy rocks on the trail last not busted a fuel line at the filter and tank drained overnight so just hit the nearest trail and went up. Had intended on going another 1k ft higher on the quad before setting out on foot but.... I'll fix it later didn't wanna screw with it in the dark.

Every year while Elk hunting we run into cattle. Best thing I can tell you from my experiences is get away from them. I've never seen Elk anywhere around them. I'm sure other people do though.

Dad missed a big 6x6 this morning. I wish I could have been there with him. I won't get to go up until September 19th.

    Good Luck!

Well after a mid day regroup we fixed the ATV and went 6 miles up some of the nastiest Trail I've ever seen ending in some high country and a beautiful reservoir.
After choosing the wrong route to the other side we finally arrived and up on the bench just above the far side it was absolutely tore up. Sign everywhere. And no other people or even any fresh ATV tracks. Looks promising for tomorrow.
