    In the stand 5 minutes and I call a hen into my setup for 15 minutes. She was making all the sounds I'm trying to make but I'm tone deaf I think.
    She got bored and wandered off.
    Awesome encounter! Still plenty of time...

    Ended up calling in two Toms right to my decoy... had them gobbling all morning but they went silent for like 30 min I was on my phone texting when they came in blew it lil

    The misery of the phone. It helps me sit more still and for a longer period of time...BUT sometimes is screws things up.

    When I'm calling in a tom and they are gobbling and then go silent, one of two things is going on 1-they are coming in silent (happens often - it's why I sit for another hour minimum before moving) or 2 - they lost interest/found hens. It's a surprising portion of the time when they work in silent....OR some other tom will sneak in silently that never gobbled.

    I had a feeling he was coming. I was scanning that direction the entire time. Just bad timing. Didn't help they went right for the jake they didn't come in slow they charged that sucker ... can still see there beards bouncing in my head
