I played baseball from a kid thru college and kickboxed 20 years and have had 3 knee surgeries. My right knee looks like someone cut a grapefruit in half and stuck it on the side of my knee this morning where it's swelled. I know exactly when it happened - I pulled my atv up on the truck and jumped off the back end to get down and put my deer up there. When I landed I knew I'd pay for that a few days.

Season opener I was about to get off my climber after climbing down and stopped just a smidge higher than I thought. I hung on to the top portion facing the tree and thought I'd just slide off. My feet couldn't have been a more than a foot off the ground. I forgot to flip the footrest out of the way and my boys down below hit on the bottom platform and it felt like they went up into my stomach.

The bungee snapping back and hitting me is always a fear in the back of my mind.

This was done in 2014... was climbing the tree and was going 100mph and wasn’t paying much attention when from the bottom climbing stick going to the next I banged my head against the bottom of the next stick... as you can see it gashed my head pretty good.

Lmao . This thread has made me feel so fortunate . Can’t really recall anything like these stories . I’m 26 tho so still have plenty of time . Looks like I need to watch out for elastic items snapping back in my face and climbing into stand lol.

I have to say more of my serious injuries have come from waterfowling. Now that is a hazardous hobby lol

Ouch, I could definitely see that happening. I once caught the outside bone on my ankle on one of those ladder connection clips on a ladder stand. It took my breath away to say the least.
